Addie is a graduate from UC Santa Barbara’s history program. She’s a musician and art teacher, currently located in San Francisco. Her experiences in the foster care system as a child and her work as a teacher have taught her much about the importance of maintaining strong, healthy families. She’s passionate about contributing to her community through supporting families struggling with incarceration, drug and alcohol addiction, and mental health issues. As a youth advocate, she maintains an understanding that at-risk families experience systemic issues surrounding race, economic status, and gender, and prioritizes parents’ and children’s access to adequate physical, mental, and reproductive health care.
