Laura Hawkins

Laura Hawkins is a Board Member with CFPIC.  She began her work with the Board in 2019 after being impressed with the incredible staff and drawn to support the mission of CFPIC. Laura has 20 years of experience in human services starting out as a Child and Family therapist working with child welfare and probation youth, to directing clinical services for intensive needs families before becoming an Executive in human services.  She now serves as the Director of Social Services for Tehama county since 2018.  Her passion is ensuring the delivery of compassionate and meaningful services whilst focusing on developing a thriving trauma informed culture within her agency and county.  In addition, the Integrated Core Practice Model and the value system this is based on is of particular focus in her desire to support access to safety net services for the families we serve.  When not at work, she loves to spend time on her hobbies which include fitness, reading, hiking with her dogs, and spending time with family.
